  • The purpose of the role is to work collaboratively with the Category Manger to drive and maximise the commercial opportunity within a large retailer (and any other FMCG retail opportunities as they may arise) – Products such as Home entertainment, computing, consumer electronics

Key Responsibilities:

  • Focus on developing and managing a rolling monthly/quarterly Clubcard promotional plan to ensure KPIs are hit.
  • Qualifying product nominations, product offers and promotional details for presentation monthly
  • Regular stock and sales analysis in conjunction with team to ensure effective and robust stock management and stock availability.
  • Working closely with Category Manager and Consumer Vendor Manager to continually evaluate potential new vendor partners and/or new product.
  • Managing the process from end to end including product selection.
  • Working closely with the Category team to develop the optimum product offering for the consumer in a timely manner to ensure sign off, stock management and execution of the offer to deliver the maximum sales results.
  • Working closely with the Category team to ensure a robust exit strategy is in place post the promotional end dates.
  • In conjunction with the Category team, meeting with all key vendors to ensure they are aware of the promotional opportunities and respective timelines
  • Coordinating and managing the point of sale and the merchandising briefs to ensure all promotions are delivered in full.
  • Maintain appropriate confidentiality of information made available by performance of this role

Suitable candidate should have following

  • Min. 2-3 years of experience ideally in a category management environment;
  • Candidate to possess strong commercial acumen.
  • Highly proficient PC skills with a superior/advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office, with strong emphasis on PowerPoint and Excel as a must.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is a distinct advantage.
  • Relevant business degree an advantage.
  • Experience in/knowledge of FMCG environment.
  • Excellent relationship building & influencing skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the highest levels of integrity.
  • Highly skilled networker.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills;
  • Ability to multi-task without losing focus

On Offer

  • Salary – €55K
  • Bonus – 30%
  • Hols – 22 days
  • Pension – 3% after probation 6 months
  • Location – Hybrid 2 days in office
