Field Sales Executive (Medical Devices)

We are recruiting for an experienced Field Sales Executive for our client a leading supplier of medical devices and products.

This position will be a field sales role covering agreed Munster region of Ireland.  Working remotely as client head office is based in Meath.

This is a full-time, permanent position for business development, sales, and account management selling into the Nursing Home industry. 

Responsibilities: 

New Business & Sales Growth

  • Proactively seek and generate new business opportunities to drive revenue growth.
  • Research market trends, identify potential clients, and develop a strategic sales approach.
  • Lead prospecting efforts through cold calling, networking, and attending industry events.
  • Develop and execute tailored sales presentations and proposals to attract new customers.
  • Negotiate and close business deals, ensuring profitability and alignment with company goals.

Account Management & Client Retention

  • Develop strong, trust-based relationships with key clients to ensure long-term partnerships.
  • Regularly meet with clients to assess their needs and propose solutions
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between customers and internal teams, ensuring seamless communication.
  • Address and resolve any client concerns, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities to maximize revenue from existing clients.

Strategic Market Engagement

  • Conduct competitor analysis and market research to identify trends, opportunities, and threats.
  • Develop and implement business development strategies to strengthen market position.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create targeted campaigns that drive lead generation and brand awareness.
  • Represent at trade exhibitions, industry events, and networking forums.

Sales Performance & Reporting

  • Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and revenue forecasts using NetSuite.
  • Provide regular reports on business development activities, sales performance, and market trends to senior management.
  • Continuously analyse sales performance to refine strategies and improve efficiency.

Collaboration & Professional Development

  • Work closely with internal departments, including Customer Service and Purchasing, to enhance the overall customer experience.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies.
  • Participate in training sessions, workshops, and professional development programs to sharpen business acumen and sales techniques.

Requirements:

4-5 years of business development experience in medical devices or healthcare industry would be a benefit however we will look at candidates coming from different industries, however must have BD experience

Experience selling a wide range of products

Ability to work with autonomy whilst being held accountable for results/ targets

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Fluent in verbal and written English essential

A full, clean driving license is essential
