We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Health and Safety Officer / Manager for a Engineering company based in Leixlip, Co Kildare
My client is looking for the right person and would consider a part time person 3 days a week or full time 5 days a week
This is a permanent position
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the implementation of the company’s H&S policies and procedures
- Full H&S responsibilities for all technical related company activities and targets
- Strong focus on customer centric approach to delivering project
- Conduct regular EHS audits and communicate to site management in order to close out issues.
- Communicate with and support managers in the EHS processes and recommend improvements as necessary.
- Ensure the delivery of health and safety inductions for all new employees or contractors
- Delivery of Health and Safety training for all employees.
- Preparation of site paperwork including Safe Systems of Work, Risk Assessments, Inductions and Toolbox Talks
- Assisting with incident reporting, investigation, and trend analysis
- Serve as contractor representative at site meetings
- Furnish safety reports as required
- Other duties as may be assigned or requested
Requirements:
- A relevant recognised EHS qualification
- 2-3 years’ experience in an EHS Advisor or EHS Lead role
- EHS audit experience is a plus.
- Previous experience in a cleanroom manufacturing environment desirable
- Candidate should be a motivated self-starter with an ability to work independently and as a member of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and team-oriented personality required.
- Excellent organisational skills to include report writing and records maintenance.
- Excellent PC skills, including Word/ Excel/ PowerPoint and project
- Flexibility and accountability.
- Certified Manual Handling and Working at Heights Trainer
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the EU.

Hours – 8am to 5pm
Salary Range – €55K to €65K depending on experience + Benefits
