Our client, a significant player in the environmental services sector, is seeking a Project Engineer to manage projects from proposal to client handover. This person will oversee design, budget, and timelines, ensuring successful project delivery.

Suitable candidates must have:

  • B.Eng. in Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
  • Proven project management experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Cost-conscious with budget management experience.

Package on offer for suitable candidate:

  • Location: Celbridge, hybrid work model allowed after 6-month probation period. International travel within Europe is required for this role.
  • Salary: €75,000 – €78,000 per year
  • Benefit: Pension and Health insurance

Duties & Responsibilities:

Project Stage:

  • Manage projects from start to finish, ensuring smooth workflow.
  • Attend contract meetings to understand project requirements.
  • Verify designs meet project, budget, and installation standards.
  • Review technical requirements of proposed systems.
  • Maintain project records and administration.
  • Create and manage project schedules and documentation.
  • Track progress, report, and manage project variations.
  • Coordinate with departments to meet project deadlines.
  • Prepare handover documentation and schedule commissioning.
  • Conduct post-project reviews for improvement.

Finance:

  • Review project cost sheets and resource needs.
  • Agree on costs and valuations with clients, ensuring timely payments.
  • Procure cost-effective equipment within budget and specifications.
  • Monitor project budget, manage variations, and improve margins.
  • Approve purchase invoices.

Customer Liaison:

  • Represent the company and manage project communications.
  • Maintain professional client relationships.
  • Plan site operations and communicate technical requirements.
  • Attend site meetings and issue meeting minutes.
  • Provide operating handbooks and client training.

AutoCAD:

  • Produce technical drawings (P&IDs, layouts).
  • Ensure equipment fits and is accessible in designs.
  • Manage project documentation.
  • Create validation documentation for system testing.
  • Ensure validation documentation is completed and filed.
  • Verify supplier documentation is traceable to equipment.
  • Compile certification files for clients.
  • Prepare operations and maintenance manuals.
  • Ensure handover documentation is filed in house.

Requirements:

  • B.Eng. in Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
  • Proven project management experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Cost-conscious with budget management experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • The ability and willingness to travel internationally when required
