Our client, an industry-leading distributor of technology products and specialist services in Ireland, is seeking a Technical Pre-Sales Manager.
Reporting to the Enterprise & Cybersecurity Director, the position of Technical Pre-Sales Manager is a key role within the Team. The primary function of this role is to develop and lead a Pre-sales technical team across a range of technologies. To ensure partners are technically enabled to sell, implement and support our product set.
Responsibilities:
Presales
- Assist the Security sales team with technical configurations across enterprise class cyber security vendors
- Assist with customer engagements as an extended Presales Resource for the Partner
- Be the voice of company for technical engagement with partners
- Facilitate the Sales Life Cycle along with the Partner
- Complete Technical Closure if required
- Enable the Partner to Articulate the Vendor message, discover new opportunities, and
Close Deals
- Sales & Presales Enablement
- Marketing Events
- Provide support services
- Leverage Vendor programs for Enablement activities.
Education / Professional Qualifications:
- Engineering Degree or equivalent
- Industry Certification advantageous – CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet NSE4+, MCP, VCP
- Knowledge & experience with Fortinet, Cisco, Dell and Sophos would be an advantage
- 3 to 5 years in a similar role
Skill Sets
- Some experience of security solution deployment and management (firewall, mail, AV, waf, sandbox, ips, vpn)
- Understanding of the OSI model and Protocols such as DNS, SMTP, HTTP, TCP/IP, IPSEC
- Knowledge of virtualisation and cloud technologies
- Knowledge of the following technologies: NGFW, Routing, Switching, VPN, LAN, WAN,
- Network Security, Intrusion Detection, and Anti-Virus
- Understanding of encryption and authentication technologies
- Strong presentation and interpersonal skills
- Proficient spoken and written English
- Willingness to learn new technologies
- Willing to travel to meetings, events and customer sites as necessary

- Salary – 60-70K (+ 20% bonus)
